Two masterpieces in one concert! The NBSO opens with Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9, a showcase for the composer’s musical genius. Then guest artist Marina Lomazov joins the NBSO for Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in D Minor, one of the greatest piano concertos of all time. Marina performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concert No. 1 with the NBSO in 2010 and brought the house down. We know she’ll do it again with Rachmaninoff’s mighty second piano concerto.
